Augusta is Looking For:   Meet Augusta, a handsome 1-year-old male Shepherd/Husky mix with an abundance of love and energy to share! Weighing a sturdy 70 lbs, Augusta is the perfect mix of strength and sweetness. His captivating eyes and plush, double-layered coat make him as striking as he is affectionate. Augusta is an adventurer at heart, always ready for a hike, a run, or an exciting play session. With his friendly disposition, Augusta gets along well with other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends.

Notes from the Shelter: Augusta is very social and playful -- he loves to be a rowdy boy so would match best with another dog that can match his play style and likes to wrestle a bunch.  In play groups at the shelter, he takes and gives good corrections to other dogs while playing so we think he will love the dog park!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
