Hey Y'all! My name Frieda and I'm a beautiful and spry 8-9yr old female German Shepherd. I am located near the Greenville, Tennessee area and am available for transport.

I was found wandering on my own when I stumbled upon a nice house that tried to help me find my family but no one reclaimed me. Thankfully IDGSR welcomed me with open arms and is making sure I find the best home to live out my golden years!

Here are 8 fun facts about me & my ideal home!

1. I am HOUSE & KENNEL trained! I actually don't need to be kenneled because I mind my manners when left alone.

2. I'm polite, affectionate, friendly, a little reserved, and an overall lovely senior gal.

3. Don't let my golden age deter you, I'm still pretty spry for my age, just look at my video!

4. I would love to find a person or family who will give me lots of attention, take some occasional walks, let me watch movies with them, and live my best golden years!

5. I am friendly with other large male dogs but would be fine as an only dog as well. If you have a female dog, small dog, or cat in your home, I'm not the gal for you.

6. My ideal day would consist of waking up next to my favorite human, eating some breakfast, taking a nice shaded walk, lounging on a patio, playing a short game of fetch, and finishing off the day with a family dinner. Doesn't that sound great?!

7. If you have kids in your home, I would do best if they are 12-yrs and older.

8. I've been waiting patiently to be adopted and really hope to find a loving person or family to finally call my own.

***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***
-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted
-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply
-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered
-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter
-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog
-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications
-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time
-Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our wonderful dogs!
