My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

EHS volunteer comment: "Daisy is an energetic girl who is always excited to see me. She has a lot to say and always gives lots of love. She walks well and is treat motivated. She is playful and would love plenty of adventures. We spend a good amount of time sniffing out treats in the grass and she really loves to use her nose. Beautiful dog!"

The first thing you'll notice about Daisy is her stunning snow-white fur that glistens in the sun! She is enthusiastic about going for walks and sniffing all the intriguing scents along the way.

Food is the key to Daisy's heart, she loves a good snack. She is a food enthusiast with a heart of gold. Treats are her ultimate motivation, and she's always up for a tasty snack or two. But her love for food isn't the only thing that sets her apart. This bright-eyed pup has a thirst for knowledge and is eager to soak up all the training you have to offer.

Already a pro at sitting on command, Daisy is eager to expand her repertoire and learn even more. With her quick wit and eagerness to please, she's sure to master new tricks in no time. Whether it's fetching a ball or mastering the art of high-fives, she's ready for the challenge! She would love to attend training classes with you.

Daisy has previously lived with children, however due to impulsive behaviours seen in shelter such as jumping, EHS recommends that interactions with children are monitored and recommend asking our lovely Adoptions team about enrolling in training classes at EHS so Daisy can become the best pup she can be.

Additional adoption info

Before you Adopt
Pet adoption is a big commitment. We encourage you to spend considerable time thinking about and researching the type of pet most suitable to your family. Most breeds have their own characteristic traits and specific needs which need to be considered. Remember that some animals have lifespans of 20 years or more.

Prospective adopters will meet the following requirements:

- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have two pieces of identification, with at least one showing your current address and a picture.
- ALL FAMILY MEMBERS, sometimes including family pets, must be present during the adoption process.
- If you already have a dog and are considering adopting another one, you MUST be prepared to bring your current family dog to the interview. This will help you to determine if all family members and existing pets will get along with the new pet.
- If you live in rental accommodations, please confirm that your landlord allows the type of pet you are considering, and that you have paid your pet deposit before you adopt. There are NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES if the building owner does not accept the animal. In addition, you will have to pay all regular surrender fees if you need to return the animal to the Edmonton Humane Society.

If you are looking to adopt a dog or puppy please note:
Some of the dogs on our web site have recommendations on the age of younger family members. These restrictions are placed out of the concern of the dogs as well as in consideration of families.

Remember that new animals arrive every day. You may have to return to the shelter a number of times before you find a good match. It is better to wait and come back again than it is to take home an animal who does not suit your lifestyle
