My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Alyssa. My owners adopted me from Paws4you as puppy and decided they do not want me anymore. I'm a sweet girl. I love to run and go for walks. I like playing with tennis balls too. My favorite volunteers take me out on field trips and I have so much fun! They have learned that I get a little scared when people swing their arms, make quick hand movements near me, or raise their hands over my head. I prefer slow introductions where you let me come to you. For that reason, I would do best in a home with adults only. Once I get to know you, I'm very loyal and affectionate. As for my furry friends, I'm a little selective with other dogs so will need to meet them first. Please no cats for me, they aren't my type! If you are looking for a furry companion to take on adventures, I'm your girl! Adopt me!

Our goal at PAWS4you Rescue is to find the right home for our animals. The hard-working team of volunteers who comprise our adoption committee fully vet and review all adoption applications and work diligently to place each of our animals in the home that best meets their needs.

The PAWS4you Rescue retreat is not open to the public except during our Open Houses which are usually scheduled from 12 – 2 PM on the first Saturday of each month.You can also meet some of our pups at our monthly adoption events.

Since its inception in 2007, PAWS4you has served the vital need of sheltering, fostering, and placing homeless dogs in the southern part of Miami-Dade County. We offer life-saving services and employ various strategies to place and keep animals in loving, lifelong homes.
