My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hopscotch! This super sweet little lady is a hardworking mamma who’s really still in kittenhood herself. Little Hopscotch is just nine months old with a litter of three babies that she has been doing a great job caring for! Poor Hopscotch was found as a stray, struggling on the streets and trying her best to care for her little family. Thankfully she was rescued and she is now living in comfort in her foster home with her kittens. Despite all she’s been through, Hopscotch is an incredibly sweet and friendly girl. She is an absolute purr machine who loves to be held and pet!

Hopscotch absolutely loves people and would do well with humans who have a lot of love and attention to give. Every time her foster mom enters the foster room, Hopscotch locks eyes with her and immediately starts purring and meowing for pets. This little lady loves attention and purrs loudly nonstop, even when her foster mom is giving her medicine! Because Hopscotch is still young, she would do best in a home with other feline companions to play with, perhaps even one of her kittens (Tic, Tac, or Toe). She is particularly fond of her kitten Tac and she would really love to be adopted with him. Hopscotch has been exposed to a many people and has proven to be very friendly, she is comfortable being held and pet by strangers. She has also met a small dog and did well with him. Hopscotch has not yet met any children, however, she seems like a good candidate for a home with children, provided appropriate parent supervision. Overall, the most important thing for Hopscotch is to find a home with humans willing to give her all the love and attention she deserves!

At the moment, Hopscotch is just starting to get an opportunity to show us how playful she is, because she’s so busy caring for her kittens. This sweet girl knows that being a mom is a full-time job and she desperately wants a break! Once her kittens are a bit older Hopscotch will have even more time to enjoy herself, and her furever family will get to see her playful nature blossom! This young mamma is still a kitten herself and she definitely deserves a chance to relax and play in her furever home. At the moment, Hopscotch goes crazy for the fluffy tail on a string toy! She will even open the toy box to steal it and carry it around. She also loves to play fetch with smaller toys! Our sweet lady would do very well in a home that appreciates her gentle nature and wants to spend hours giving her the love she deserves!

If you’re looking for a super affectionate companion who will shower you with love then Hopscotch is the kitty for you! Give this hard-working mamma the loving home she deserves. If you’re ready to welcome Hopscotch into your heart and home then please contact us to meet your future cuddle buddy and purr machine!

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
