My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Axle a charming 3-year-old Great Dane with a heart full of warmth and a spirit brimming with enthusiasm. Axle's striking appearance and size may catch your eye, but it's his endearing personality that will capture your heart. One of Axle's most commendable traits is his impeccable cleanliness. Even within the confines of his kennel, Axle maintains a clean environment, showcasing his respect for his surroundings and his innate sense of discipline. This admirable quality speaks volumes about his character, reflecting his commitment to maintaining a sense of order and cleanliness. His gentle nature and patient demeanor ensure harmonious interactions, creating a bond of trust and companionship that's both heartwarming and genuine. If you're seeking a loyal, affectionate, and sociable companion, look no further than Axle. His sweet nature, cleanliness, and gentle demeanor make him a truly remarkable companion. Axle can be selective on the dogs he prefers so a meet and greet with furry friends is required.  He will also do best in a home without young kids. Embrace the opportunity to welcome Axle into your home, and you'll be rewarded with unconditional love, joyful moments, and a lifelong friend. Our good friends at Daisy's Pet Playground have sponsored Axle's adoption! Apply to adopt Axle today at ITVrescue.org and embark on a journey filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
