My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi
My name is Maggie. My foster mom thinks I am the most tenacious and motherly cats she's ever met. I gave birth by a lake that was frequented by really nice people that would always feed me. I gave birth to four little kittens in a den I dug out by a bush. Luckily a nice lady found me and took me and my babies inside. I think she heard all my yelling and came to our rescue.
I love to talk and have conversations with you and watch you as you work or play with all my kitties. My favorite spots area nice sunny spot by the window or you lap white you brush me. I am very active and playful and would need another buddy in the house to play with and have fun. I get along with cat, kittens and children.
If you would like more information about Maggie please go to our website at www.southerncountiesrescue.org and complete the online application.
Thanks.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue group. We rescue abandoned cats & kittens from the streets and high kill city animal shelters in Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial and San Diego counties.
We also help people who need to rehome their pets through our Community Foster Program in that we post the cats on our internet sites and accept applications for them. We also help the owner screen applicants and bring their cats to our adoption events but we cannot physically take them since we are foster based. We do not have a physical shelter, we foster in our homes, not in cages which is a more natural environment for cats.
Lastly, we help reduce the number of unwanted kittens with TNR (Trap-Neuter/spay-Release) by loaning traps and instructing others on how to TNR and by referring people to low-cost S/N clinics.
