Good with dogs? Yes, as long as he does not have to compete for human affection and is being treated as the “top dog.”

Good with cats? No

Good with kids? Yes, he does great with kids!

Energy level: Medium to High. He needs 1-2 walks per day, minimum of 1 mile long each, and playtime in a yard. He has also enjoyed a run/walk 5K and a little trail hike.

Behavioral needs: Senor Suave is a very talkative hound when he gets excited! He is interested in and may chase small animals like rabbits, squirrels and birds. He does not like to be left alone and will bark because he wants to be with humans. When he has moved to a new foster home, he has taken several days to resume eating and stop pacing. He’s ready for a forever home with lots of love and attention, and despite his age is willing to learn new tricks!

Animal Characteristics: Senor Suave is soft, sweet, cuddly, gentle and playful. He is friendly and eager to meet new people and positions himself to receive petting. He also loves belly rubs and ear scratches, and will give kisses in return! He may be a great first dog for a family with children and one of the adults working part time.
