Intelligent, strong, beautiful, calm and loyal - Meredith Grey is everything her namesake is known for. The only thing she's missing is her McDreamy. For our Meredith, that doesn't come in the form of a handsome hunk, but a special person or family.
Meredith has the saddest, most worried eyes (probably from stressing over her paitents at the hospital) that exude a kind soul and wisdom beyond her years. She loves attention from humans, but isn't demanding of it. She is fine with the other cats, albeit a bit of a loner who mostly keeps to herself. We're not sure about dogs, but hyper or loud ones might startle her until she gets used to them. She does stand up for herself if she gets startled, and is brave in new surroundings. She got used to her new digs here pretty quickly, and has claimed one special bed as her own. She's often found there waiting for new visitors to shower her with affectionate and listen to her recount stories about saving lives. Meredith is about 4-5 years old, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
