I came to RASKC as a stray on May 20th 2024, and my story started to unfold. My owner was unable to care for me anymore, and shortly after I got to the shelter, my best friend and owner passed away ):
The surviving family was able to give my caretakers a little info about me! I am a loving, playful boy who adores spending time with my people. I do not get along with most dogs, if any. My owner`s family said my only doggy friend was the one I had growing up with. However, I am a very good boy! I am excellent at minding my own business on walks as long as I have my space and treats to keep me engaged. I am easily motivated with just my kibble!
I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`, `stay`, `come`, and `down.`
I spent three months waiting at the shelter for my new home. I was a superstar in the kennels and on walks, plus I love playing fetch!
I was adopted in August 2024, but was surrendered back to the shelter March 20th, 2025 and my caretakers learned a little about me from my adopter. I would do best in a home where someone is around full-time. Since my first arrival at the shelter, I have struggled with being left alone and can become distructive if left unattended and loose for long stretches of time. I do well when I have things to keep me busy inside and outside, and I am looking for someone who needs me just as much as I need them. <3
