Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kelsey is such a chill dog, who easily gets along with everyone. She has been introduced to men, women, toddlers, teens, big dogs, little dogs and loves them all. We are unsure about cats, but we haven't found much that fazes her. Things like fireworks and storms have zero effect on her. She does like to chase (more like a strut) birds, ducks and squirrels although she always turns back to see if we are watching. Kelsey enjoys walking laps while following us at the dog park, she has even gotten other dogs to join us. Outside she will happily walk around the yard, do her business and sunbathe while we enjoy our morning coffee. Kelsey loves to go for long walks when you have time to do so. If you work from home, she's the perfect guest to quietly lounge or sleep while keeping you company. Kelsey has a quirky habit of chewing her back paws, hip or front leg when she is nervous. We have seen her do it a lot less since she's been settled. Her perfect day is sunbathing outside before breakfast, long walk after breakfast, several naps and head rubs throughout the day, quick trip out before dinner, long walk after dinner, more head scratches and her bed for the night. Kelsey is 30lbs and 9.5 years young.
Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-dog-adoption-screening/ if you would like to adopt or meet this dog, and we will be in touch right away!

We have a quick but thorough adoption process. We ask you to fill out an application and we will touch base with you by phone. If we feel you are a good fit for the animal you would like to adopt based upon your application, we will want to do a home visit and have you meet the pet. If everything checks out, we will ask that you sign an adoption contract and pay a donation - usually $75 for cats and $150 for dogs. This includes all vetting, spay/neuter, vaccines, etc.
Our contract allows us to come visit you and your new family member after the adoption to make sure everything is going well and your new pet is happy & healthy.

We meet potential adopters by appointment only, typically in the foster's or potential adopter's home. Dogs can be arranged to be seen at a local park or a similar location.

More about this rescue
Good Karma Pet Rescue is a small network of foster homes in South Florida dedicated to providing dogs and cats in need with the love and help they need and deserve.
GK was started in 2011 by Stacey Chen, who decided that she could best provide for her foster animals by starting a rescue that aims for best care rather than high volume. We intend to stay as small as we need to be to ensure that every one of our foster animals is treated with the same care and respect we show our own furry family.
GK is based in Fort Lauderdale and is supported by wonderful, dedicated foster parents throughout the South Florida area. If you are interested in helping to save lives through volunteering, fostering, or adopting, please get in touch with us!
