Meet Minerva!

Some call her Minnie for short. This young mixed breed is on the hunt for her forever home!
Minnie is a cute, affectionate, and lazy dog. She enjoys brief walks to use the bathroom, but is ready to head back inside as soon as possible. Fetch is definitely not her forte. She is rarely interested in playtime, but more so is afraid of fast movements. She enjoys hanging out in her kennel and is house trained! She has done well with cats and dogs with a slow introduction, though she seems to prefer her space.
She loves to lie on the couch, chase water from the hose, eat peanut butter treats, and ear rubs.
She does not like garbage trucks... It`s a long story.
Minerva would love a home who is patient with her nervous tendencies and will celebrate those small wins with her!

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
