Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey Texans! We have a gorgeous five-month-old pup who needs a foster or foster-to-adoptive home ASAP.
This is Vince. He was one of our 15 "Longhorn Puppies."
His mama was a black Lab mix who gave birth to 15 puppies during a Longhorn's game and was featured on the local news.
Vince was adopted by a family in Austin, but sadly, they can no longer keep him.
Yes, he's gonna be big! He is about 65lbs right now.
He is crate-trained, sleeps overnight in the crate, and typically takes two naps in the crate during the day.
His current adopters say:
He is smart, quick to learn, and loving. He enjoys food puzzles, foraging in the yard, playing tug, chasing the flirt pole and has even started basic scent work skills. He has excellent impulse control (will not eat food/treats or chase the flirt pole until he is given the "all good"), is constantly improving on loose leash walks, and is a joy to work with overall.
Vince has been through a puppy pre-k and puppy basics training class. He also spends one day a week at a training center for extra puppy training.
His adopters have been proactive in socializing him as well. He visits Home Depot, Tomlinson's, and PetSmart regularly, as well as "happy visits" at the Firehouse Vet in Kyle on a regular basis. (Vince did NOT like the vet's office initially--something pretty typical with many dogs.)
He is comfortable around large machinery, loud noises, and equipment but a bit nervous around bicycles, scooters, and crowds.
He still exhibits some puppy-like behaviors, such as getting excited while playing with other dogs. Vince needs a home where he can continue his training and get lots of exercise.
Vince is fully vaccinated, housebroken, and microchipped.
