PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 6/2/2024 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 Banjo is a year old Treeing Walker Coonhound who is quite possibly the cutest and sweetest hound you'll meet! Banjo loves everyone, but his favorite friend to meet and play with are other dogs. He ignores the resident cat at his foster home, and loves his people. He has bursts of energy in the morning and evening, but otherwise loves to stretch out on the couch. Like many hounds, he follows his nose and will counter surf (jump on the counters to try to snatch food) and will jump all over you and the other pets so he can get his breakfast first. Training will take some effort as he can be stubborn, but with yummy treats at the ready, he should learn quick. Banjo sleeps in a crate at night, and does OK in his crate during the days his foster family works in the office. Banjo would do best in a home with other dogs to play with, as well as one or more people who are home more often than not as he likes having a couch buddy to snuggle with. His jumping can be scary for kids, so he will have to be supervised by an adult if adopted into a family with little ones. His foster family is working with him on basic obedience training and addressing his jumping habit, and training will need to continue in his forever home. Banjo is a gem of a dog and deserves the best home. If you'd like to meet Banjo, fill out an application today!
