My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Timestamp removed*

**$740 in pledges for the rescue that pulls**
**Interested foster through rescue**
**New medical notes 6/5

Dynasty ACCT-A-164835 was timestamped due to medical concerns and was in need of a short term foster or rescue partner by Friday, June 7th. Thanks to a generous donor who wanted to help her and is covering all medical costs, she is currently hospitalized offsite. She has secured a short term foster and longer term foster, and provided she pulls through her hospitalization she will be in foster care and looking for placement once recovered.

The primary cause for her timestamp was mammary masses that needed further diagnostics. She has had imaging done, and while we do not know if the mammary masses are benign without having them biopsied, they do not appear to have spread. Dynasty has been struggling with pneumovirus and was hospitalized, but while she needed oxygen her appetite and tail wagging hasn't decreased. She was weaned off oxygen and discharged, but returned shortly thereafter and provided her condition doesn't worsen, she is currently expected to be hospitalized for another day or two. Read more about her below and if you're a rescue interested please let us know!
Dynasty is a 10-year-old female who came in as an owner surrender on 5/29 due to her owners' medical and financial concerns. Dynasty maintains a joyful demeanor and has been noted to be very dog-social. Dynasty is a senior sweetie with hemorrhagic vulvar discharge and mammary masses and who is struggling with an upper respiratory infection.
She spent some time as an office foster and was playful and sweet, and would even tug at the leash to let staff know she needed to go outside.
She needs a nice quiet place to recover, and once she is recovered she will need spay surgery and to have her mammary masses removed and biopsied. Could you be the one to help this sweet senior girl live her golden years in comfort and love? She's a sweet dog who rides well in the car, and doesn't ask for much other than love and lets, and the occasional hot dog.

6/6 Picked up Dynasty from hospital, she's been eating well and was happy to see me, wagging her tail and wiggling. Drove home and she hung out on the couch, but was panting and was uncomfortable. Took her back to the hospital where they put her back in oxygen. She was behavioral great with everyone, and allowed the tech to carry her in.

On the evening of 6/3 Dynasty went home with a staff member, but was having trouble breathing. Thanks to a generous donor, she was taken to our emergency veterinary partner. Since then she has been on oxygen but it eating "like a horse and they expect her to be discharged on 6/6! They were also able to take imaging and did not see signs of any obvious metastatic disease, which is also promising!

6/3 Dynasty allowed staff to trim all of her overgrown nails! She was so good for it.

**New**On 6/3, Dynasty was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. PCR results are pending.

During the exam on 5/31, Dynasty was noted to have a wet nose but no sneezing/coughing noted. Moderate dental calculus, gums pink/moist. Dynasty is a senior with cloudy eyes, very long nails and waxy ears. She is bright, alert, responsive and did well with all handling and restraint. during exam.

During an exam on 5/30, staff observed the following of Dynasty: Mild serous nasal discharge, pinpoint corneal opaque foci in both eyes, severe pinnal lichenification on both ears with moderate brown crusty discharge, right ear moderate ceruminous discharge, Moderate dental calculus, Two 3cm spherical firm mammary masses (right 3rd gland and left 4th gland), moderate vulvar hyperplasia and edema, hemorrhagic vulvar discharge, Stilted gait, ambulatory x 4, suspected degenerative joint disease, General seborrhea, greying fur. She allowed all handling, very friendly during the exam.

With the risk of pyometra and concurrent mammary masses recommend expedited exit from shelter for proper screening (CXR/Abdominal ultrasound) vs. OVH and mammary mass resection and biopsies.

Per staff on 5/29, Dynasty "was surrendered with diaper on. Upon removal, it appears as though she is in heat. Nails are extremely overgrown

Per her owners on 5/29, Dynasty was described as sweet and playful, houstrained, medium-energy, walks well on leash, and reacts "fine to strangers, children, and other dogs (they were unsure of her reactions to cats).
