They call me Louie. I`m a smart, brave soul, though a tad shy. My independence may make you think I prefer solitude, but that`s not entirely true. My best friend, Blue, is the yin to my yang. We`re two peas in a pod, a duo like no other. We`ve seen a lot, experienced more, and yet, we remain steadfast, our spirits unbroken. I may be a senior, but my zest for life is that of a kitten`s. I`ve got wisdom, but also a feisty streak that keeps things interesting. Adopting me means you`re not just getting a pet, you`re getting a companion, a friend, a confidante. More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
