Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Location: Troy, MO
Kenicki is a good little boy with a big appetite!
Kenicki is not a picky eater and will gladly eat what is in his bowl. He will eat way more than he should if given the chance and he would do well to be on a scheduled feeding regime.
Kenicki is very playful and likes other dogs and would probably enjoy kids. He is very excited to play with his puppy friends and loves to chase after toys with them. Since he is teething, chew toys are also on his list of faves!
Typical of the Schnauzer breed, Kenicki can be vocal and may not be suited for apartment/condo life. Schnauzers are smart dogs but can be stubborn. They are smart little dogs and with positive reinforcement and persistence these pups can be taught most anything!
Kenicki's adoption is $500. He is current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped and on flea and heart worm prevention. Due to his young age he is not neutered. A neuter contract is required and Leia's Hope does help offset that cost. Visit leiashope.org for next steps.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
