My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She's just a hap, hap, happy girl; just a hap, hap, happy dog!! This describes Lulu Marie to a tee. And this is in spite of her horrible neglect at the hands of her previous owners who allowed a spindle cell tumor to rupture on her side. She was shaved by the shelter as she was so matted. Once Lulu Marie was in the care of CAMO rescue, she received the treatment she needed. That tumor was removed with clean margins and a cyst was removed from her shoulder. She also received a dental during which one tooth fell out as it was being held in place by tartar.

Lulu Marie is deaf but that means it just takes a little more effort to get her attention.

She was the perfect patient following her surgery leaving her incisions alone. Her foster mom knew when she was feeling better because she started hopping when she ran. Makes one wonder if she has some rabbit in her DNA! She loves to be near her foster mom but will go to her exercise pen or crate when she wants to rest. She sleeps soundly through the night.

Lulu Marie was spayed, is heartworm negative, up to date on her vaccinations, and microchipped. She is probably around 10 years old and weighs less than 15 pounds. She is such an easy dog to take care of and to love.

If you would like to open your heart and home to Lulu Marie, please go to www.camorescue.com to complete an application. She would love to be part of a kind and gentle family.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
