Meet Buck! He is an 6 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 55 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Buck is nervous around strangers! He is good with kids! No cats, dogs, or farm animals, due to his reactivity! He bit her child several years ago when she was trying to take something away from him. He also bit the owner earlier this year when she was trying to force him inside. She said he nips and snaps as well. The owner is surrendering him because he resources guards around the other dog in the home. His other negative behaviors have also increased (barking a lot, as well as pushes and escapes out the door).
If you think you can provide a great home for Buck, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Buck.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 82,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
