My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty is a sweet boy who was born in February of 2024. He arrived with his mom (Stella), his brother (Clover), and his sister (Phoebe) in early March of this year, but he was too young to neuter at that time. However, he has now been neutered and is ready to find his furever home! He is currently housed with his brother Clover since they have been living together without any issues.

Since Rusty came to us so young, he has spent essentially his entire life here at the rescue, along with his siblings. When his previous owner contacted us about surrendering them, Stella had six babies, three of which were extremely sick. Unfortunately, the previous owner could not afford the care they needed and three of the babies were lost. Luckily, we were able to immediately take all of the bunnies to the vet and get them the care they needed to survive, and they've been a bouncing bundle of energy ever since!

More about this rescue

Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.

Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
