My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cecil, the quiet observer with a heart full of love. At first, he may appear reserved, but give him a moment, and you'll find a sweet, affectionate soul who thrives on gentle conversation and tender attention. With a new lease on life, Cecil has discovered the joy of sunbathing on the shelter's cat porch, watching birds flutter by, and simply soaking in the warmth of both the sun and your affection. He’s the ultimate chameleon, effortlessly blending into any cat family and patiently learning the ropes of playtime with each new toy. Every day is a small victory for Cecil as he steps further into a world full of possibility. His perfect home? One where kindness and patience come naturally, where the sun is always shining, and where the love flows freely—just like his heart.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
