Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hugo (fka Chaplan) will be available to meet and potentially adopt (pending foster's availability) on Saturdays starting Saturday, June 1st at our PetSmart location (857 N Val Vista Dr, #106, Gilbert AZ 85234) until adopted. The adoption event starts at Noon and goes until 3:00pm.
mid-May Hugo update... he is now housetrained. He's a sweet, quiet dog, loves me and sits by me on his floor bed. At night he moves up on the couch to sleep. He's not a barker or biter, he does steal and chew everything, 2 remote controls, 2 pr of shoes, assorted small items = basically anything in the house he can reach and carry he will destroy.
He's become a very picky eater,😿 won't eat dry food but here we cook for them nightly so not his fault. He doesn't seem to like men. My pet sitter is live-in, he cleans up after Hugo, cooks for him, feeds him but Hugo doesn't let him get too near. And its nothing the pet sitter did. He's that way with any male he's encountered. He does love me and goes crazy wagging and doing zoomies, but even for me he's not very approachable, he has to come to me... I can't really go to him. Photos of him on his white fuzzy bed at my feet and the couch h sleeps on.

More about this rescue
The Follow Your Heart Foundation is committed to preventing the unnecessary euthanization and abuse of abandoned and/or abused animals.
In order to fulfill this mission, Follow Your Heart will engage in the following activities:
Foster Program-Animals will be rescued from shelters and placed in temporary foster homes to save them from being euthanized. During this time, animals will be provided with proper nutrition, shelter and analysis to determine appropriate long term housing.
Adoption Services - the organization will work to find each animal that is rescued a forever home that is willing and able to make the long term commitment to a family pet.
Public Education - Abuse, neglect and irresponsible pet ownership leads to thousands of animals being killed each year. One way to combat these issues is through continued public education to not only raise awareness about animal abuse, but also promote responsible pet ownership.
Medical Treatment - Animals rescued will be provided proper medical treatment as needed.
