This helps Lani's Lucky Shepherds of Houston - A German Shepherd Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
Beth is approximately 9 - 10-months-old. She and her siblings Amy and Ceasar were saved by a kind family last year. She had been trying to find homes for them but was unsuccessful in her efforts. She really felt that they needed to be with someone who could find good homes for them they our rescue does. As much as she and her family really loved them, they knew it was unrealistic to keep three more dogs especially since they had no place but outside for them now that they were getting bigger.
Beth is the biggest of the three. She is a little cautious of new folks at first. Give her a few and she warms right up. She is absolutely the kindest and sweetest soul. She has the most beautil smile and gentle face. She loves hanging with her new foster siblings and they are teaching her the "house rules" which she is following quite nicely. She also lives with a cat now and does not even bother her. She is housetrained and kennel trained. She is not as vocal as her sister Amy but will tell you she would rather not be in there. However, for her safety, sometimes a girl has to have some quiet time when her foster mom has to run errands. She is settling in very nicely in her foster home and takes her "job" as a German Shepherd seriously. There were some utility workers out on the property and she like her foster siblings let them know they were being watched.
All Lani’s Lucky Shepherds receive an individual examination by a local veterinarian, are current on vaccinations, spay or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heart worms and other intestinal worms and parasites. All incoming dogs receive Drontal Plus de-wormer or its equivalent as an extra precautionary step to go above and beyond to keep our rescued dogs healthy. We feed our rescue dogs high quality dog food and supplements while they live in our foster homes. All these costs are paid for by our rescue. You won’t have to pay for these normal costs or bother with the headaches of having to take your new dog to a vet for all these procedures.
We strongly suggest that you complete the adoption application process before choosing a dog from our web page. Most of the dogs on this web page will have approved adopters already looking at them. We get new dogs on a regular basis. The application process can take a couple of weeks depending on your schedule. You will have access to all of our available dogs once you are approved to adopt a rescue dog. Please visit www.luckyshepherds.com for more information. Please note that we only serve the Greater Houston area. We do not adopt our dogs to homes outside of the Houston and its neighboring areas.
