Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Audie! He was guessed to have been born in December 2023. He hasn't had the best start in life, but you would never know. This resilient soul was found on the side of the road in Texas- severely injured at only a few weeks old. Alone and in pain.
It is suspected Audie was hit by a car and sustained multiple fractures to his pelvis and his femurs. Audie had a severe right femur fracture surgically repaired and a subsequent tibia fracture and he is getting around wonderfully! There is a possibility down the line that he may need a FHO surgery on his left side, but the orthopedic vet says it all depends on if he seems to be in discomfort - and so far you wouldn't know anything was every wrong with him. Potential adopters will need to understand and agree to take on that responsibility.
We did a DNA test on him and he is 51% Boston Terrier, 43% Schnauzer, and 6% Poodle. He is estimated to be about 20 lbs full grown. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids, but due to his previous injuries he needs to be in a relatively quiet and calm household to prevent re-injury. He will need training from scratch, but he has a good handle on crate training.
Audie's adoption donation of $495 helps to cover the cost of his medical care (well in excess of $2500).
Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.

More about this rescue
A rescue organization dedicated to helping you locate and adopt your "perfect" pooch.
No one, or nothing, is perfect....this includes dogs, but we firmly believe that there is a "perfect" dog for everyone. This doesn't mean our dogs will not have accidents in the house, or bark at times you don't want them to, or chew on your good shoes. They are dogs and they will require training and structure, but their flaws make them truly unique, beautiful, and "perfect" for the right family.
Perfect Pooches Adoption Agency (PPAA) is dedicated to working with each family to ensure we try to find a dog that will be a match with your lifestyle, needs, and wants. If we do not currently have a dog that is a match we will do our best to help approved adopters locate a dog that would be a better fit.
Our pooches are rescue dogs that deserve a second chance. Please consider opening your heart and home to a new companion today!
