Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Update from her foster mom: She is a great pup & will make a loyal companion. She is my shadow in the house! She is very affectionate, curious, sweet & playful. LOVES playing with our other dogs.LOVES toys & chew bones. She is very food motivated & smart- & thus easy to train. Still working on house training (that is more our fault than hers) but getting better, comes when called, sits on command, knows “crate” (& is very good in her crate).
Alrighty, who is ready for some adventure? This gorgeous girl for sure! Meet Summer! She is a young mixed breed, maybe 12 months, and currently about 25-30 lbs. She has gorgeous med. hair with brindle coloring, a nubby tail, and beautiful brown eyes! Her vet records say Australian Shepherd mix. She certainly has the body size, energy, and friendly disposition. She really warms up to all people and dogs nicely. She would love hikes, maybe agility, or maybe even herding classes? How ever you choose to engage with Summer, I’m sure she will excel, she is motivated to please you! We prefer to place her in a home with a securely enclosed back yard, no toddlers, or cats. (Herding children is not looked upon favorably. 😉) If you are interested in adopting Summer who is already microchipped, spayed, tested, crate-trained, and on preventions, just email me to request an adoption application at : marysmutts05@gmail.com.

Dogs/Puppies are $400.00. For senior dogs (small dogs 9 and over and medium and large dogs 6 and over), adoption fee is $350. Any animal that must be seen by a groomer or has additional surgical requirements may be more. Adoption fees: Cats 1 yr and over - $150. Cats over 10 yrs. $100- and Kittens (8wks to 1 yr) - $175
We do NOT guarantee “housebroken.” If the animal is listed as housebroken it is because he/she has not had accidents for a period of time moving forward in the foster home. Some animals may regress during the transition to a new home which is why we do not provide a guarantee. Patience and consistency is always key.

More about this rescue
We operate a small rescue organization that is determined to help unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out, and their destiny seems perilous. Maryland Animal Sanctuary & Rescue Organization is supported by a select few who have the same passionate desire to save as many shelter animals as possible. Some of our animals come from far away, others come from local Maryland shelters, still others are displaced homeless animals found on the streets. All the animals are "fostered" out of volunteers' homes. They are socialized with children, other animals, and are exposed to normal family life, if possible. We do take each animal for a vet check, have them vaccinated, de-wormed etc... If an animal is 22 weeks or more, they will always be spayed/neutered. We require an adoption application, a signed contract and payment of the adoption fee. We will also do a 2 week follow-up check and a 6 month check-up including veterinarian follow-up on your new companion. If you are interested in adopting any of our furry four-legged friends, please email a request for an adoption application to marysmutts05@gmail.com Please keep in mind: We will not ship animals, but will consider reasonable transport for the perfect home! The animals and I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for considering adoption from a rescue organization!
