Spritz is a 1 year old (as of May 2024) tuxedo domestic medium hair. Spritz came to Spay and Stay as a frightened kitten. For months, she was terrified of everything except other cats, but with time and patience, she began to warm up to people. Though she remains skittish around loud sounds and strangers, once she knows you Spritz loves to snuggle and be involved in whatever you're doing. She even enjoys cuddling up with her foster family at night. A quiet home with patient owners who can help her feel safe would be perfect for her.
Spritz is very playful and loves to entertain herself with springs and sparkle balls. She enjoys playing chase and hide and seek with the other cats in her foster home. The laser pointer is her favorite toy.
Spritz loves to groom the cats in her foster home and gets along well with both younger and older cats. She doesn’t mind the gentle dogs in her foster home either.
Spritz thrives on feline companionship and looks to other cats for confidence in unfamiliar places and situations, making her reliant on having a feline friend around. She needs a home with another friendly cat.

Additional adoption info

Adoption applicants complete an application either before or after meeting adoptable cats. The application will be processed in 2-7 days depending on response time from employer, current vet, landlord and reference. A home visit is done when the cat is delivered to its new home. Kittens 3 to 6 months old are $125, kittens 6 mo to 1 year are $100, and adults cats over 1 year are $80. This includes neuter, rabies and distemper vaccinations, parasite treatment and microchip.

Go meet their pets

Adoption events are held either Saturday or Sunday in Lake County, usually in the Waukegan or Libertyville area. Like Spay and Stay on Facebook to see adoption event locations. Cats can also be met in their foster homes with an approved application. Care Animal Hospital, 1214 W. Park Ave, Libertyville also fosters 1-2 cats that can be seen during normal business hours. PetSmart Skokie has 1-3 cats for adoption through Spay and Stay also.
