Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Arlo is a 12-year-old bay Arabian who came to us underweight and neglected. He was hungry and nervous upon his arrival. We gave him a nice clean stall with a deep sawdust floor and started on his rehabilitation with a strict refeeding schedule. Slowly but surely, Arlo began to gain weight. He started to enjoy his daily routine and before we knew it, he was healthy and ready to be evaluated!
Upon evaluation, we found that Arlo had no previous training under saddle. He was, however, very intelligent and picked up on his groundwork quite quickly. He has a `wants to please` attitude and is very responsive when being led by a confident handler. Arlo is a personable boy who has lots of potential for the right person. He will need an advanced adopter to put him into professional training if adopted as a riding horse.
Arlo is currently working on standing well for our farrier. He would do best in a home with all geldings or all mares, as he tends to be a bit on the `studly` side when turned out with both. When in work, this boy is thoughtful and calm. We can`t wait to see where life takes him!
Adoption Fee: $600 Height: 14.3hh Maximum Carrying Weight (includes tack and rider): 140lbs
