My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Squeaky. I'm about 2 years old and boy am I excited to meet you! I came to the Humane Society after being found as a stray but that doesn't get me down. I am always happy and ready to get out there and enjoy life with my fur-ever family. Want to play in the pool? I love the pool! Want to throw around a tennis ball? I'm ready! But ya know, at the end of the day, all a dog wants is someone to snuggle with. My tell tale sign is the lean. When I am ready for a good scratch or snuggle, that lean is how you know it's snuggle time!

Will you be my fur-ever family? My friends at the Humane Society can be reached at 928-282-4679 10AM- 4PM Monday- Friday to set up an appointment. I can't wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
