My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!

My foster writes: Heyo! I'm Mocha, but I go by Mo for short. I'm 4 years old but I still act like a kiddo. I'm 50 pounds but I look 40, and the rest is pure muscle. I'm a spunky girl who's biggest joy in life is to hang out with my peoples, wherever they are. Sometimes, my people call me FOMO because I try to follow you around like a shadow, every...where...you go :) Even at night I sometimes get lonely, so I sleep with your shoes to feel closer to you :)
I like hiking and being active, but I'm not much for running because I lose steam quickly. Did I mention that I like cuddle time the most! I guess you could say I'm equal bits couch potato and adventurer. I am house broken and I like learning new tricks, and I can even be left home while you're at work or school! Most importantly, sometimes it takes me a little while to warm to adults so I'm going to be aloof when you meet me in the beginning. Please don't get scared away, because as soon as I've warmed up you, you won't be able to get rid of me :) If I haven't won you over yet, the best part about me is that I am great with cats, dogs, and big kids. I'm friendly to babies but I'm worried my big dog energy is going to be too much for the little ones.
If I had to name my biggest flaw it's that I'm camera shy and my people can't get good pictures of me. That's okay though, because it means that you'll just have to meet me in person! I have people who love me now, and helped me adjust to home-life, but I can't wait to have a family to call my own. Reach out to ACC today to coordinate a meet-and-greet with my foster folks!
Love,
Mo

A volunteer writes: Sweet and petite, Mocha is a treat! I'm smitten with her soulful eyes and expressive face, feeling like we are old friends as we sit on a bench and enjoy the sunshine. During her time at the shelter with us Mocha has been such a good girl, getting straight-As for learning commands like SIT and SHAKE, as if she's in the gifted and talented class! To see sweet Mocha in action, check out the adorable video on her profile. This gentle gal is waiting for her forever home, and Mocha will bring a smile to whoever is lucky enough to share their time with her.
