Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stella is a 4 year old, 32 pound super sweet, affectionate girl. She loves to run and look out the back door at the squirrels. Stella is a wonderful dog. She is sweet, affectionate, well-behaved and quiet. She is house trained and is working on crate training. She walks well on leash and does best with a gentle leader. She is a snuggler and sleeps under the covers with her foster parents.
Stella rides well tethered in the car, but does bark while riding. She does well with other dogs, kids, and the cats in her foster home. She is an active, playful girl and able to jump baby gates! Stella needs a fenced in yard so she is able to run and play. She will do best with another dog in the home, but would be ok as an only dog if her adopter is willing to work with some signs of separation anxiety.
According to her records, she has been identified as a beagle since she was adopted at 6 months old, however, we think she is likely a beagle mix. Stella was originally surrendered due to her owner’s relocation to housing that would not allow them to bring their pets. She was adopted a couple of months ago but recently returned to the rescue due to some medical concerns. She had been scooting and has also had a few ear infections. She was given a cytopoint injection when she came back into the rescue and the scooting has stopped. She has been diagnosed with allergies that can be managed with periodic cytopoint injections.
Stella is being fostered south of Boston and is available for visits.
