Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hannah
Hannah is a Female Shepherd mix
DOB: May of 2021
Adoption fee: $125.00
I am a very sweet girl, just a little timid. I can be shy at first but when I get to know you, I have a lot of love to give. I am gaining confidence and personality every day. I am still learning how to love people, but I think I am getting good at it. I enjoy pets and love, sometimes I even give kisses! I can be silly and playful when I want to be. I really enjoy relaxing! Not much information was supplied on my past when I arrived at the shelter, other than I had a litter or two of puppies in my past.
I should so okay in a home with a home with another dog pending a meet and greet. I have not been introduced to cats yet, but I should do okay pending a slow and proper introduction. I would do best with older or no children in the home. I am recommended for a physically fenced backyard. I am still learning to walk on a leash but getting better every day. I would do best in a home with less foot traffic.
I am a sweet and loving girl just looking for my forever home, could that be you? If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.

About Us:
We are the area's nonprofit advocate, sanctuary and source for companion animals since 1887.
Our Mission:
-to protect animals from suffering and cruelty
-to provide safe and responsible care for unwanted or abused companion animals
-to enhance the lives of animals and people through education, adoption, and foster care.
We believe in second chances at the Humane Society of South Central Michigan. Our service area includes all of Calhoun County and parts of Kalamazoo, Barry and Branch counties. We keep animals as long as it takes to find a good home for adoption once the animal passes temperament testing and is checked for good health. The Watkins Road shelter cares for up to 100 animals a day, and adopts out more than 500 animals a year. Countless area residents use the Society’s animal care, adoption and education programs each year. The Humane Society is overseen by a board of directors. We do not receive any government or tax dollars, or national humane organization funding. Our services are made possible by people in our community who care about homeless cats and dogs - people like you!
The Humane Society of South Central Michigan values:
-The ethical and humane treatment of animals
-Its role as a shelter for animals that suffer from pain, fear, and neglect
-Community accountability for the welfare of its animals
-Responsible stewardship of our resources
-Community involvement to achieve our goals
-Education about responsible pet ownership
-The joy of sharing a life with animal companions
