My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spicy Ramen!

Don't let the name fool you-Spicy Ramen is more sweet than spicy! When she first arrived at the shelter, she was a bit reserved, but she's really come around and shown us what a loving, gentle girl she is.

One of Spicy Ramen's favorite things? Other cats! She absolutely adores feline friends and would thrive in a home with other cats. So, if you've been thinking about getting your cat a cat-Spicy Ramen might just be the perfect choice!

This affectionate girl is ready to bring warmth, companionship, and a little extra sweetness to your home. Come meet her and see why she's the purrfect addition to any cat-loving family!

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
