What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Cookie rescued from a high kill shelter. She is, we think, almost 2 by now, looking for a loving home with someone who possibly owned cats before. She is so loving, very curious, will play at the drop of a hat, has an adorable little squeak so does not meow but can get loud if you don't pay attention. The resident cat has been bullying her although not trying to hurt her. After almost a year of trying to get them to at least tolerate each other she is now just traumatized.
Cannot begin to tell you how this is breaking my heart because the longer we have her the more attached I find myself, she is so sweet, but finding a good home is very, very necessary.
I am 83 years old and afraid if I go someone will take her to a shelter. The arrangements I had in place before adopting her decided to back out afterwards. I will probably cry for a week but worth going to a good home.
