Simba is 2-3 years old, vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, house trained, crate trained and knows commands. Simba is the golden ticket of shelter dogs.
Simba is a big boy at 125+ lbs, and doesn't realize his size, so no small children. Oh and no cats either. Simba is a mastiff mix who is an absolute love bug.
Simba is available for adoption and we ask that everyone share his posts. Mastiff rescues and big dog rescues, please share his post to your page too. We want him to find his family! Meet and greets with other animals currently in the home are required.

To view the adoptable animals you must schedule an appointment by calling 757-365-6318.

Dogs & Puppies are $90, Cats & Kittens are $75 and all other companion animals are $25 unless stated differently.
Those fees include:
• Spay/Neuter
• Vaccinations & deworming (including Rabies shot)
• and Heartworm testing for dogs
The cost for this medical care at local veterinary offices would easily exceed $200.00.

An application must be filled out at the shelter and approved before adopting one of our pets.

If you rent, live in a mobile home community, or in military housing, we need to speak to your landlord see a copy of your lease. To speed the process, please have a copy of your lease when finalizing.

As appropriate, for dog adoption you may be required to bring your current dog for a “Meet-n-Greet” prior to adopting your new dog. Please bring a paper copy of their rabies certificate(s), not the ID tag, for the meeting with our shelter dog.
