My name is Gargamel!

It is wild how quickly a dog can physically recover with regular meals and shelter. Gargamel was in rough shape when he arrived. He had a deep scab around his neck that was from an embedded collar and his little eyes were so blood shot (probably related to choking by that tight collar). He was pretty skinny too. And yet all he wanted was love and treats. Gargamel was so happy to get some positive attention he couldn't stop smiling. Fast forward a few weeks and he is at a healthy weight and his neck is looking so much better. Gargamel is ready to be treated with love and kindness in a home.

Came in as a stray on 5/11/24. Picked up from 25th district CPD

The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter.

Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after time for decompression for the shelter dog.
