Buttered Croissant came to us in horrible and desperate shape but he has flourished and become the absolute most affectionate and grateful boy ever. Unfortunately, Buttered Croissant had been living outside as a friendly stray cat that people would feed and give affection to, but no one seemed to care enough to get him help or bring him inside, until one day he showed up with a horrible injury to his leg. We were able to get Croissant an emergency hind leg amputation and he's never felt better. While he's still working to navigate life with 3 legs and occasionally gets anxious or a bit overwhelmed, he has really come so far. Croissant loves playing with toys, climbing the cat tree and using his scratching post like a well behaved boy. He has made friends with his foster kitty sister and did well with a gentle, large dog in his foster home. Croissant is still mastering the litter box with his lack of a back leg and sometimes benefits from having a training pad next to his box as he's trying to get his balance. He absolutely knows how to use the litter box and only has accidents when he is losing balance and definitely requires an open top, large litter box, to avoid any issues. We are hopeful to find a patient and understanding forever home for Buttered Croissant where he can continue building his confidence in a loving space.
