My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nessie: Your One and Only Feline Star
About Nessie:

Date of Birth: January 29, 2017
Status: In need of a forever home
Nessie might not have a beach body, and she could stand to lose a couple of pounds, but don’t let that deter you from considering this cat with an extraordinary personality. Adopted from us as a kitten, Nessie was sadly returned by her family when they moved and couldn’t take her along. Now, she’s back in a kennel, not too thrilled about it, and we’re determined to find her a true forever home that won’t give up on her again.

Nessie isn’t a fan of other pets and needs to be the only pet in her new home. She loves to be the center of attention, and with a personality as delightful as hers, you won’t need anyone else!

Why Nessie?

Charming Personality: Nessie is full of fun and love, making her the perfect companion.
Loyal Companion: Once she bonds with you, she will be your devoted friend for life.
Independent Star: Nessie loves to be in the limelight and prefers to be the only pet.
Nessie has many wonderful years ahead of her and is ready to share them with a family who will cherish her. To adopt Nessie, please apply online at eastshoreha.org. Once your application is processed and approved, we will contact you to arrange your own personal meet and greet with Nessie.

Note: Adoption meetings are by approved application and scheduled meet and greet only. Apply today and let Nessie be the shining star of your home!

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
