My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, Gentle, Chill

Sunkist is such a friendly, sunshiny, and affectionate guy! He was rescued from living on the streets, and we suspect he must have been someone's kitty who got left behind for some reason. He is a pro at snuggling up against people and purring up a storm when he receives pets. He especially likes neck scritches! He enjoys being brushed and will arch his back with bliss while making biscuits on his blanket.

Sunkist is also playful and will bat around a ball or catnip toy. This kid LOVES catnip! He is comfortable with meeting new people and was affectionate with the older kids who have visited him at the shelter, too.

Sunkist was rescued after he was hit by a car! Crazily, he was found stuck in a tree (how did he even get up there??). He is recovering from spinal trauma and can walk and pee and poop, but still has weak back legs. He has been on bed rest while he heals up, which he doesn't mind: spending the day napping and making biscuits in his fluffy bed, playing with some catnip, and getting pets from visitors...yes, please! Sometimes when he is resting, he will sprawl his body all over his puffy bed to make the most of that soft and comfy real estate. But he's doing so great that he is zooming through his recovery period!

Even when he just arrived and didn't feel great, he's always had these bright and alert green eyes that look right into you and melt your heart. Then you'll know that you've been soul-kissed by Sunkist!

Sunkist is such a charming, cheerful, and snuggly guy! He would love a home with gentle people and a cushy bed. He's a supremely handsome older orange tabby, and he's a winner all the way. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet with Sunkist!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
