How do we still have this PERFECT BOY? Freddy is STILL looking for his FOREVER HOME! We rescued this sweet boy about 4 months ago from Taylor County Animal Control. He was on an URGENT last call post and was going to be euthanized for sure without rescue. He came in with widespread hair loss and skin infections but had started to clear up at the shelter. He is now completely healed up and he’s doing AMAZING in his foster home. Freddy is a 1 year old American Foxhound and weighs 47 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and is up to date with shots. He did test low level positive for heartworms ( like most of the hounds do) but he’s been started on doxycycline, and will come with a year of Heartgard with his adoption or we will cover fast kill injections at our vet, if the adopter decides to go that route. Freddy is the sweetest, happiest boy and just puts a smile on your face!! He is potty trained and crate trained. He is very dog friendly!! He is very sweet loving wants to please his person and can’t wait to find a wonderful family of his own. He knows sit and stay. He is in a loving foster home in Beverly Hills, Florida and she says he is a PERFECT Boy!

More about this rescue
Vision Statement: Our vision is to create a better world where all animals are treated with kindness and respect for their individuality, and seen as intelligent, sensitive, and sacred creations on earth. Rescue Dogs Dream Mission Statement: Working as a non-profit, all-volunteer group of animal lovers, RDD is committed to providing daily high-quality care to dogs selected mainly from local shelters who are either “at risk”, not thriving well in traditional shelter environments, or elderly or sick shelter dogs in need of medical or hospice care provided in foster homes. Our commitment is to compassion and dedication in providing for the mental, behavioral, medical and emotional needs of each individual animal.
In a home like environment, we provide a safe and relaxed life style where they can decompress and blossom into their “best selves” until a permanent responsible loving home is found for each one. We are dedicated to finding the best possible home and are painstaking about background checks and careful screening of potential adopters.
Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to rescuing, training, rehabilitating and daily care of abandoned, stray and homeless animals, providing them with a loving, safe environment in which to decompress and thrive until they find their forever homes. We believe lonely, confused, scared animals in shelters don't exhibit their best and deserve a second chance with a clean slate. We take our convictions and turn them into action. In our rescue our dogs will experience a home like environment with typical noises like washing machines and vacuum cleaners and homey smells of baking treats. They will become socialized and acclimated to walks, baths, grooming.
