My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper* has been growing up in the shelter (she arrived in our care on 5/18/24!). She has been timid during her time here, although very curious. She doesn`t like to be grabbed, but enjoys some gentle pets. She would do best with an experienced rabbit adopter, or someone who can commit to time and patience with her. We feel as though the high foot traffic in the shelter environment may be contributing to her timid nature, and she will blossom at home with tender love and care.

During her time in a foster home, her foster parent reported: `Piper is fostered w me for 2 weeks now.
She is a shy girl (now 6 mos.), not comfortable being picked up and held. But welcomes and enjoys gentle stroking. She likes to have a place to go hide, and here that is a box (see photo). Then when she`s ready she ll venture out again. I have another bunny from RH, who looks like her and she likes to go lie down near his X pen. No physical contact is possible thru the double bars. I saw her acting negatively toward him during her first couple days here. Now she is always peaceful and so I think she would be able to bond with another rabbit if someone wanted her as a friend for their rabbit(s). Her environment wd best be quiet with a patient owner to love her as she grows up, with room to run and feel free.`
