Meet Bullet, a young dog with a heart full of love. His sweet and cuddly nature is irresistible, making him a perfect companion for those cozy nights in while he lounges on your lap and lets you pet him He`s playful, too, and his energy is infectious. He likes car rides, fetch, running, tugging, toys, walks, water, and chasing bubbles. Bullet`s curiosity makes every walk an adventure. Despite his shyness, he`s friendly, and quickly warms up to new friends. He`s still learning about the world and can be wary of strangers and thinks he needs to protect himself, but with a little patience, he`ll warm up to you. Bullet is smart, already house and leash trained He knows the sit, come, no, and fetch commands. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has experience with children of all ages. Because of his insecurities, he`ll need to live with kids at least 12 years old. Bullet weighs 27 pounds and is a bit jumpy and can be noisy, especially when he`s excited or worried. He also has a penchant for chewing, so chew toys are a must. He was given up because his owners thought a dog was too much responsibility. His affectionate demeanor is sure to melt your heart. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
