My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a feline who:
-provides a 3 am wake up call
-is a tripping hazard
-is faster than a speeding bullet
-enjoys cuddles, cats, dogs, and kids
-is deaf, blind, and missing a leg

If you answered yes to any of these questions-you need Mari Katayama.

Mari is a wild, untamed creature who is looking for a comfortable home to spend her twilight years. Mari came to us in a horrific state of neglect and despite initially being a hospice case, she has bounced back to spend as much time possible with people who will give her the world. Mari is comfortable with cats, calm dogs, and kids-but we feel she may do best in a low/moderate energy home with minimal pets. She also provides a consistent concert of night screeches for all to enjoy!

Everyone who meets her, falls in love-so if you're looking for a vocal, cuddly, social, and affectionate cat-look no further.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We provide private in home fostering and do not allow visitors at our homes with an approved application, interview, and confirmed appointment made by the CEO.

We partner with our local, family owned businesses and events, but a majority of our adoptions are done from the comfort of your home.

More about this rescue

We work hard to educate the community about why spaying and neutering is important. We only take cats that are non adoptable in shelters which includes feral, abused, abandoned, and traumatized cats and kittens. We heal them inside and out using positive reinforcement and force free techniques. Last, we provide assistance to low income families to help them fix their pets, provide food to feral cat colony managers, and sponsor adoption fees for those who need a pet and can afford their care but not an additional fee.
