Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
LOCATION: TROY, MO
Preference:
Young playful dog
Meet the cutest little chocolate nugget! Putzie is a chocolate Yorkie ready to satisfy that sweet tooth!
Putzie is a playful guy that thinks he is big! He enjoys tackling the other pups in the foster home! He likes to play with all toys and chew on the teether toys. He is excited for cuddles and curls up so sweetly. Putzie has a lot of energy and would like a canine friend to play with in his new home.
Putzie was born in a puppy mill and will need socialization. We recommend Puppy Cultures Program "With Open Arms and Level Head". This program is amazing and performed online and goes through everything from bringing your puppy home, how to socialize, leash training, and much more!
Putzie has giardia, a common parasite found in puppy mill dogs. He will go home with any remaining meds if needed.
Putzie's adoption fee is $500. He is current on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. He is not neutered due to his young age. A neuter contract is required. Visit leiashope.org for next steps.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
