My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy post Meet Chase! Name: Chase Age: 9 months old Weight: 45-50 lbs Breed: Blue Nose Pitty Living Situation: Loves his home with 2 adults and a 2-year-old child Chase is a playful and energetic pup looking for his forever home. He was obtained from a breeder and is in great health, aside from some mild allergies which are managed with Claritin in his water. Chase is up-to-date on all his medical care. As a young pup, Chase thrives on enrichment, exercise, and training to prevent boredom. If left to his own devices, he might chew on something he shouldn't. He loves to jump up and greet people, but with his smarts and eagerness to please, he's quickly learning better manners. Ideal Home: Chase would love a big yard to run around in. He’s fantastic with kids and enjoys the company of other dogs, although his high energy can sometimes be a bit much for them. Reason for Surrender: Unfortunately, due to increased work commitments, his current family can’t give him the time and attention he needs. Contact Information: For more details or to meet Chase, reach out to Cheyenne at 443-628-7609 or Mitchell at 443-537-7727.

Disclaimer*** Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place. AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange. Arrangements for adoptions are made between the caretaker of the pet and the potential adopter.

We are a rescue that is dependent on volunteers as we do not have a physical building. We rent space at a kennel in Upperco, Md. If you would like to meet one of our dogs please contact us to make arrangements. Thanks!

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
