My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brooklyn is a shy, sweet, slender medium-sized mixed breed. She and her daughter (since adopted) entered our care due to their owner's health. He had a stroke and was no longer able to safely care for them.

Although shy, it is evident that Brooklyn was loved deeply by her owner. She does enjoy walks, and she is getting more confident as staff and volunteers spend repeated time with her. Once you get down on her level, she will fight her fear in order to lay next to you and request some gentle pets. We think that in a home, consistent love and care will easily bring her out of her shell. And how rewarding, to finally be the one that gains her trust once more!

Brooklyn passed her dog aggression test on intake; she would do best with a lower energy dog or one who is respectful of others' space. She is very content to share a yard and space with another dog; she just doesn't appreciate being rushed or jumped on. She tends to be avoidant, but she will correct if need be!

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our adoptable pets you can come by the Adoption Center and fill out an application, download one from our website, or submit a request to receive one by email. Once your application has been reviewed and approved we will have you and your potential new pet meet and greet. If you would like to adopt a dog we also ask that you bring along your current dogs to meet with them also!

If there are no reservations on either party, the adoption contract will be signed and you will get to take your new family member home.

All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption, have age appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Go meet their pets

All of our adoptable animals are available to be seen at the Faithful Friends Adoption Center located in Neosho, MO! We are open Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 12PM-6PM and Saturday & Sunday 10AM-4PM. We are closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday.

Please call in advance if you are driving from a distance to ensure that the animal you would like to adopt is still available!
