Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**URGENT** Wiggly-waggily tail girl needs immediate foster or adopter!
Leela, a 4 year old girl, is a sweetheart who will wiggle her way right into your life. When you approach her, she wags her tail so much it seems to wag her whole body with joy. She is housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out to do her thing.
Leela was rescued from a mass breeder situation where she was being bullied by several other dogs. So much so that she suffered a severe eye injury as a puppy which was not properly cared for, leading to blindness in that eye. This disability has not affected her ability to love. In fact, that’s all she wants . . . someone to love her! You will quickly look past her injury and see right through to her soul.
She absolutely loves to be by your side and cuddle up on the couch with you. She’ll even want to sleep on the bed with you, but she stays at the foot and isn’t a bed hog. As far as eating goes, she likes to eat throughout the day so she is one you could ‘free feed’ and she’d pick as she wants. This is NOT the norm for most beagles, who tend to gobble up every crumb at once! Because of her upbringing, she didn’t have toys so doesn’t know how to play with them. Don’t worry . . she is content to just BE with you. She doesn’t need to be entertained. She would love to be your one and only or possibly join a quiet gentle dog. Probably not any cats though.
This sweetie does have a lot to say if left alone, so will need to live in a place where she can speak freely without bothering anyone! She is quiet when you are home. She is fine walking on a leash but sometimes barks when encountering other dogs - - not in an aggressive way. Just more “Yo, Dude! Wassup??” and quiets with redirection/praise.
Spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped, she’s ready to go immediately!
This adorable, tail-wagging girl has been waiting her whole life for someone to love. If you are looking dog who will fill your heart with joy, she is your girl!
