Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Joey, or sometimes we call him JoJo. Either way he is always there to give you a hop and smile. Joey is a goofy little boy and is starting to play with the resident Brittanys and toys. Joey gets along great with other dogs but really loves being with his people. He is a mellow boy but still a typical loving Brittany.
Joey goes to the toy basket to find a bone and will quietly sit and chew on it and watch TV in the evening. Joey loves to cuddle on the couch and will give a little “woof” when he wants attention. When he goes outside to the yard, he will always stop, turn around and make sure you are coming too.
Joey is heartworm positive and has had his first treatment with no issue and will have a second treatment around August 10th. He will be ready for adoption the beginning of September and is ready to entertain adoption applications.
Joey is a special little boy, you see he is missing his front left leg. Don’t let that fool you though, he can run like it’s still there. We were told that Joey lost his leg when he was hit by a car when he was a puppy. He really does not know he is missing something. Joey is a great little Brittany that just wants a forever home where he can share his love, participate in activities and hang out with a family he can call his own.
Joey will require a physical fence, please no invisible fence. If interested in Joey, please fill out an adoption application at www.americanbrittanyrescue.org. Due to his heartworm treatment, he will not be ready until September, so take the time to consider Joey as part of your family.
History:
Joey was turned into a shelter in the Virginia Beach area with a beagle puppy.
