All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program. All of our animals reside in foster homes until they are adopted out.
