My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Due to the large number of applications we have received for Cherry already, we are not currently accepting new ones until we have a chance to process the existing ones. If you have already submitted an application, we will be in touch sometime in the next week or so.

If you can’t tell from my photos, I am a schnauzer mixed with joy and love… and maybe some corgi, since I have really short legs. But I don’t shed!

I live with my foster family: 3 chihuahuas and a yorkie-mix (2 boys and 2 girls). I am selective about who I like. So, if you plan to adopt me, I will need to meet all my new brothers and sisters first.

My mom says I’m really smart. I saw how she makes my brothers and sisters sit and wait to be released for dinner, so I did that, too. I am motivated by food and treats and would be willing to learn new tricks for a cookie or a bone. I know to go outside and haven’t had any accidents in the house since I’ve been here. Mom and I also play fetch with my favorite stuffed toy.

I had hip surgery on May 9, and I am almost 100% healed. I run around the yard, jump on the sofa (don’t tell mom!), and –my favorite–go for walks to visit the nearby sheep. After a hard day chasing squirrels and protecting the house, I love to cuddle and watch Netflix.
