My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We just can’t figure out how this huggable, handsome dog has not been adopted yet! He is just about perfect and nobody has even come to meet him! Ralphie is a three-year-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd blend. He was picked up as a stray, and was a favorite with the staff at Animal Care Services and they pleaded for us to take him minutes before he was to be euthanized. We did and he certainly deserved it!

Ralphie currently lives with two teenage boys and a small, senior Terrier. He loves to lay out in the sun, hang out and watch football with everyone, go on car rides and run or walk in the neighborhood. In addition to his athleticism and social skills, Ralphie is a very confident dog. He is not afraid of fireworks, the vacuum cleaner, or anything else that we have found. He is house-trained, too, and goes into his kennel on command.

Ralphie is very adaptable and would do great in most environments. He would make a wonderful addition to your family. He has been waiting a long time for a forever home, so if you’re a large dog lover, please give him a chance! Apply to meet Ralphie today!

SNIPSA is an organization formed by a group of veterinarians and caring individuals dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted animals in San Antonio and the surrounding area. SNIPSA does not have a standing shelter and depends on a core of volunteers to foster and rehabilitate animals in their homes. This provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand about the animal’s needs and behavior in order to facilitate an appropriate adoption. SNIPSA was incorporated in 2005 and has re-homed more than 3000 animals.
